Hello Everyone,

After our first week of teaching at SBB 2 Mr Sam and Mr Li took all of us into the community to visit some of the children's familes.

It was quite overwhelming to see some of the living conditions. In many cases 5 or 6 people sharing a bed, roofs had holes in them that leaked in the rain and they had dirt floors.

We met a family that shared their story of building their house brick by brick, buying each brick one at a time. Costing just 7000 rhiel. It took the family 3-4 years to build their home.

We were extremely grateful to the families for opening their homes to us and the families were really appreciative that we had taken the time and interest in visiting.

Whilst the afternoon really hit home, it showed us just how important our volunteering at the school to help the children better their education was.
